Subject: The term paper subject will be based on the Rules of Engagement for Firefighter Survival and The Incident Commanders Rules of Engagement for Firefighter Safety from the International Association of Fire Chiefs. See the link below.
For the term project, you will chose one of the Rules of Engagement for Firefighter Survival and one from The Incident Commanders Rules of Engagement for Firefighter Safety and then write your term (research) project based on the following:
- What the rule means and its intent as you see it.
- As an incident safety officer what can you do to practice the rule?
- What can you do to help with firefighter buy-in?
- What can you do to help with incident commander buy-in?
The term paper will be five to six text pages, double spaced. References or footnotes are required. Only the body of the paper counts towards the page count, specifically excluding the cover page, index, table of contents, and reference pages. Papers should be black ink on white 8.5″ x 11″ paper with 1″ margins. The paper should confirm to college level term paper criteria, APA or MLA.
The paper will be submitted electronically in the Module 8 drop box in Word or PDF format.
